﴿ مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ ﴾

“[but remember that] no community can ever forestall [the end of] its term - and neither can they delay [it].”

( ما تسبق من أمة أجلها ) " من " صلة ( وما يستأخرون ) أي : الموت لا يتقدم ولا يتأخر ، وقيل : العذاب المضروب .
