﴿ أَفِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَمِ ٱرْتَابُوٓا۟ أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَن يَحِيفَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُهُۥ ۚ بَلْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ﴾

“Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they begun to doubt [that this is a divine writ]? Or do they fear that God and His Apostle might deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is [but] they, they who are doing wrong [to themselves]!”

( أفي قلوبهم مرض أم ارتابوا ) أي : شكوا ، هذا استفهام ذم وتوبيخ ، أي : هم كذلك ، ( أم يخافون أن يحيف الله عليهم ورسوله ) أي : بظلم ، ( بل أولئك هم الظالمون ) لأنفسهم بإعراضهم عن الحق .
