﴿ أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰبًۭا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ ﴾

“Or have We, perchance, vouchsafed them, before this one, a revelation [to the contrary,] to which they are still holding fast?”

( أم آتيناهم كتابا من قبله ) أي من قبل القرآن بأن يعبدوا غير الله ( فهم به مستمسكون ) .
