﴿ ۞ قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِىَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ مِن رَّبِّى وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

“Say: “Since all evidence of the truth has come to me from my Sustainer, I am forbidden to worship [any of] those beings whom you invoke instead of God; and I am bidden to surrender myself to the Sustainer of all the worlds.””

يقول تبارك وتعالى قل يا محمد لهؤلاء المشركين إن الله عز وجل ينهى أن يعبد أحد سواه من الأصنام والأنداد والأوثان وقد بين تبارك وتعالى أنه لا يستحق العبادة أحد سواه.
