﴿ وَجَآءَ رَجُلٌۭ مِّنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱلْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَٱخْرُجْ إِنِّى لَكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ ﴾

“And [then and there] a man came running from the farthermost end of the city, and said: “O Moses! Behold, the great ones [of the kingdom] are deli­berating upon thy case with a view to killing thee! Begone, then: verily, I am of those who wish thee well!””

আর নগরীর দূর প্রান্ত থেকে ব্যাক্তি ছুটে এসে বলল, ‘হে মূসা! পরিষদবর্গ তোমাকে হত্যা করার পরামর্শ করছে [১]। কাজেই তুমি বাইরে চলে যাও, আমি তো তোমার কল্যাণকামী।’ [১] অর্থাৎ এ দ্বিতীয় ঝগড়ার ফলে হত্যা রহস্য প্রকাশ হয়ে যাবার পর সংশ্লিষ্ট মিসরীয়টি যখন গিয়ে সরকারকে জানিয়ে দিল তখন এ পরামর্শের ঘটনা ঘটে। [দেখুন, কুরতুবী]
