﴿ وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًۭا سِىٓءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًۭا وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ ۖ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ﴾

“And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was sorely grieved on their account, seeing that it was beyond his power to shield them; but they said: “Fear not, and grieve not! Behold, we shall save thee and thy household - all but thy wife: she will indeed be among those that stay behind.”

আর যখন আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতাগণ লূতের কাছে আসল, তখন তাদের জন্য তিনি বিষণ্ণ হয়ে পড়লেন এবং নিজেকে তাদের রক্ষায় অসমর্থ মনে করলেন। আর তারা বলল, ‘ভয় করবেন না, দুঃখও করবেন না; আমরা আপনাকে ও আপনার পরিজনবৰ্গকে রক্ষা করব, আপনার স্ত্রী ছাড়া; সে তো পিছনে অবস্থানকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত
