﴿ يَحْسَبُونَ ٱلْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ ۖ وَإِن يَأْتِ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِى ٱلْأَعْرَابِ يَسْـَٔلُونَ عَنْ أَنۢبَآئِكُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ فِيكُم مَّا قَٰتَلُوٓا۟ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا ﴾

“They think that the Confederates have not [really] withdrawn; and should the Confederates return, these [hypocrites] would prefer to be in the desert, among the bedouin, asking for news about you, [O believers, from far away;] and even were they to find themselves in your midst, they would but make a pretence at fighting [by your side].”

তারা মনে করে, সম্মিলিত বাহিনী চলে যাইনি। যদি সম্মিলিত বাহিনী আবার এসে পড়ে, তখন তারা কামনা করবে যে, ভাল হত যদি ওরা যাযাবর মরুবাসীদের সাথে থেকে তোমাদের সংবাদ নিত! আর যদি তারা তোমাদের সঙ্গে অবস্থান করত তবে তারা খুব অল্পই যুদ্ধ করত।
