﴿ وَلَا تَقْعُدُوا۟ بِكُلِّ صِرَٰطٍۢ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِهِۦ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًۭا ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟ إِذْ كُنتُمْ قَلِيلًۭا فَكَثَّرَكُمْ ۖ وَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ ﴾

“And do not lie in ambush by every road [that leads to the truth], threatening and trying to turn away from God's path all who believe in Him, and trying to make it appear crooked. And remember [the time] when you were few, and [how] He made you many: and behold what happened in the end to the spreaders of corruption!”

‘আর তাঁর প্রতি যারা ঈমান এনেছে তাদেরকে ভয় দেখানোর জন্য , আল্লাহ্‌র পথ থেকে বাধা দিতে এবং তাতে বক্রতা অনুসন্ধান করতে তোমরা প্রতিটি পথে বসে থেকো না।’ আর স্মরণ কর, ‘তোমরা যখন সংখ্যায় কম ছিলে , আল্লাহ্‌ তখন তোমাদের সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি করেছেন এবং বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ ছিল , তা লক্ষ্য কর।’
