﴿ وَكَانَ لَهُۥ ثَمَرٌۭ فَقَالَ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَنَا۠ أَكْثَرُ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرًۭا ﴾

“And so [the man] had fruit in abundance. And [one day] he said to his friend, bandying words with him, "More wealth have I than thou, and mightier am I as regards [the number and power of my] followers!"”

তার প্রচুর ধন-সম্পদ ছিল। অতঃপর কথা প্রসঙ্গে সে তার বন্ধুকে বলল,[১] ‘ধন-সম্পদে তোমার তুলনায় আমি শ্রেষ্ঠ এবং জনবলে[২] তোমার তুলনায় আমি বেশী শক্তিশালী।’ [১] অর্থাৎ, বাগানের মালিক যে কাফের ছিল সে তার মু'মিন সাথীকে বলল। [২] نَفَرٌ (দল, জনবল) বলতে সন্তান-সন্ততি ও ভৃত্য-চাকর।
