﴿ فَذُوقُوا۟ بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَٰكُمْ ۖ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴾

“[And He will say unto the sinners:] “Taste, then, [the recompense] for your having been obli­vious of the coming of this your Day [of Judgment] - for, verily, We are [now] oblivious of you: taste, then, [this] abiding suffering for all [the evil] that you were wont to do!””

সুতরাং (ওদেরকে বলা হবে,) তোমরা শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর। কারণ, আজকের এ সাক্ষাতের কথা তোমরা ভুলে গিয়েছিলে। আমিও তোমাদেরকে ভুলে গেছি।[১] তোমরা যা করতে তার জন্য তোমরা চিরকালের শাস্তি ভোগ করতে থাক। [১] অর্থাৎ, যেমন তোমরা পৃথিবীতে আমাকে ভুলে ছিলে, তেমনি আজ আমি তোমাদের সাথে অনুরূপ ব্যবহার করব। তাছাড়া আল্লাহ তাআলা কিছু ভুলেন না।
