﴿ أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ شَرَعُوا۟ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنۢ بِهِ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ ٱلْفَصْلِ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ﴾

“Is it that they [who care for no more than this world] believe in forces supposed to have a share in God’s divinity, which enjoin upon them as a moral law something that God has never allowed? Now were it not for [God’s] decree on the final judgment, all would indeed have been decided be­tween them [in this world]: but, verily, grievous suffering awaits the evildoers [in the life to come].”

এদের কি এমন কতকগুলি অংশী (উপাস্য) আছে যারা এদের জন্য বিধান দিয়েছে এমন ধর্মের, যার অনুমতি আল্লাহ এদেরকে দেননি?[১] চূড়ান্ত ঘোষণা না থাকলে এদের বিষয়ে তো ফায়সালা হয়েই যেত। নিশ্চয়ই সীমালংঘনকারীদের জন্য কষ্টদায়ক শাস্তি রয়েছে। [১] অর্থাৎ, শিরক ও পাপাচরণ; যার নির্দেশ আল্লাহ দেননি। তাদের মনগড়া শরীকরা তাদেরকে এই পথে লাগিয়ে দিয়েছে।
