﴿ وَمِن قَبْلِهِۦ كِتَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامًۭا وَرَحْمَةًۭ ۚ وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌۭ مُّصَدِّقٌۭ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لِّيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴾

“And yet, before this there was the revelation of Moses, a guide and a [sign of God’s] grace; and this [Qur’an] is a divine writ confirming the truth [of the Torah] in the Arabic tongue, to warn those who are bent on evildoing, and [to bring] a glad tiding to the doers of good:”

এর পূর্বে ছিল মূসার গ্রন্থ আদর্শ ও করুণাস্বরূপ। আর এই সমর্থক গ্রন্থ আরবী ভাষায়, যাতে এটা সীমালংঘনকারীদেরকে সতর্ক করে এবং তা সৎকর্মশীলদের জন্য সুসংবাদবাহক।
