﴿ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ٱلْغَٰفِلَٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ لُعِنُوا۟ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ ﴾

“[But,] verily, those who [falsely, and without repentance,] accuse chaste women who may have been unthinkingly careless but have remained true to their faith, shall be rejected [from God’s grace] in this world as well as in the life to come: and awesome suffering awaits them”

Truly those who make accusations of fornication against honourably married chaste women who are unaware of indecent acts — since it would never occur to them to commit such acts — who believe in God and His Messenger shall be cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and there will be an awful chastisement for them
