﴿ فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴾

“But when they continued to challenge Us, We inflicted Our retribution on them, and drowned them all:”

So when they had angered Us We took vengeance on them and drowned them all.
