﴿ فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴾

“and so they give the lie to this truth now that it has come unto them. In time, however, they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride.”

They denied the truth the Qur’ān when it came to them but there shall come to them the news the consequences of what they were mocking.
