﴿ نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًۭى ﴾

“[And now] We shall truly relate to thee their story: Behold, they were young men who had attained to faith in their Sustainer: and [so] We deepened their consciousness of the right way”

�They were indeed young men who believed in their Lord�Sahl said:He called them young men (fitya) because they believed in Him without [the aid] of any intermediary (wāsiṭa), and they devoted themselves to Him by ridding themselves of all other attachments (ʿalāʾiq).
