﴿ إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ ﴾

“when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil,”

when he came to his Lord with a sound heart (qalb salīm). That is, in a state of self-surrender (mustaslim), having committed his affairs to his Lord, resorting[to Him] through his innermost secret (sirr) in every situation.His words, Exalted is He:
