﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَنَبُوا۟ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ أَن يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ لَهُمُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ ﴾

“seeing that for those who shun the powers of evil lest they [be tempted to] worship them, and turn unto God instead, there is the glad tiding [of happiness in the life to come]. Give, then, this glad tiding to [those of] My ser­vants”

Those who steer clear of [the worship of] false deities�He said:Evil (ṭāghūt) is the world, its root is ignorance (jahl), its branch is what is eaten and drunk, its adornment is hubris (tafākhur), its fruits are transgressions (maʿāṣī) and [in] its scales [of recompense] (mīzān) are severity (qaswa) and punishment (ʿuqūba).
