Al-Jaathiya • EN-TAFSIR-AL-TUSTARI
﴿ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ﴾
“And We gave them clear indications of the purpose [of faith]; and it was only after all this knowledge had been vouchsafed to them that they began, out of mutual jealousy, to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all whereon they were wont to differ.”
and We gave them clear signs of the commandment�He said:We opened their ears so that they could understand Our discourse (khiṭāb), and We made their hearts (afʾida) as vessels (wiʿāʾ) for Our speech (kalām). We gave them true physiognomy (firāsa), by which they can make certain and truly-informed judgements concerning Our servants. These are the �clear signs of the commandment� on the inner path (ṭarīq al-bāṭin).His words, Exalted is He:
