﴿ وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ ﴾

“and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and, above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer’s almightiness…”

�And on that Day eight of them will bear the throne of your Lord above them.He said:This means eight regiments of cherubim whose number no one knows except God. The Prophet said, �Indeed, God has allowed me to speak about one of the angels among the Throne Bearers. His feet are on the lowest earth, and upon his head rests the Throne. Between the lobes of his ears and his shoulders is the distance that a bird covers in flight during seven hundred years. This angel says, �Glory to God wherever I may be.�� His words, Exalted is He:
