﴿ وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ ٱلْعِيرُ قَالَ أَبُوهُمْ إِنِّى لَأَجِدُ رِيحَ يُوسُفَ ۖ لَوْلَآ أَن تُفَنِّدُونِ ﴾
“AND AS SOON as the caravan [with which Jacob's sons were travelling] was on its way, their father said [to the people around him]: "Behold, were it not that you might consider me a dotard, [I would say that] I truly feel the breath of Joseph [in the air]!"”
(When the caravan departed) when the caravan left al-'Arish, a township between Egypt and Canaan, (their father) Jacob (had said: Truly I am conscious of the breath of Joseph, though ye call me dotard) unless you say I am foolish, discredit me or disbelieve in what I say.
