Al-Hijr • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
“AND THE DWELLERS of the wooded dales [of Madyan, too,] were inveterate evildoers,”
(And the dwellers in the wood) i.e. the people of Shu'ayb (indeed were evil-doers) idolaters.
