﴿ وَإِنْ أَدْرِى لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتْنَةٌۭ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ ﴾

“But [as for me,] I do not know whether, perchance, this [delay in God’s judgment] is but a trial for you, and a [merciful] respite for a while.””

(And I know not but that this) postponement of chastisement (may be a trial for you) may be a test for you, (and enjoyment for a while) until the chastisement visits you.
