﴿ وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ ﴾

“for, indeed, We had vouchsafed revelation unto Moses in order that they might find the right way.”

(And we verily gave Moses the Scripture) the Torah, (that haply they might go aright) that haply they might be led to guidance.
