Al-Ankaboot • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَحْسَنَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴾
“And as for those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds, We shall most certainly efface their [previous] bad deeds, and shall most certainly reward them in accordance with the best that they ever did.”
(And as for those who believe) 'Ali and his two fellow companions (and do good works) and perform acts of obedience between themselves and their Lord, (We shall remit from them their evil deeds) We shall expiate their minor sins but not the enormities they commit (and shall repay them the best that they did) in their striving.
