Al-Ma'aarij • EN-TAFSIR-IBN-ABBAS
﴿ إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعًۭا ﴾
“[As a rule,] whenever misfortune touches him, he is filled with self-pity;”
(Fretful) he is not patient (when evil befalleth him) when poverty and hardship befall him
