﴿ يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِى سَبْعِ بَقَرَٰتٍۢ سِمَانٍۢ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌۭ وَسَبْعِ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٍۢ لَّعَلِّىٓ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴾

“[And he went to see Joseph in the prison and said to him:] "Joseph, O thou truthful one! Enlighten us about [the meaning of a dream in which] seven fat cows were being devoured by seven emaciated ones, and seven green ears [of wheat appeared] next to [seven] others that were withered - so that I may return [with thy explanation] unto the people [of the court, and] that they may come to know [what manner of man thou art]!"”

[ يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِنَا فِي سَبْعِ بَقَرَاتٍ سِمَانٍ يَأْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ ] ئه‌ی یوسفى هاوڕێى به‌ندینخانه‌م، یان زۆر راستگۆ، لێكدانه‌وه‌ی ئه‌و خه‌ونه‌مان بۆ بكه‌ كه‌ حه‌وت مانگای له‌ڕ حه‌وت مانگای قه‌ڵه‌و ئه‌خوات [ وَسَبْعِ سُنْبُلَاتٍ خُضْرٍ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَاتٍ ] وه‌ حه‌وت گوڵه‌ گه‌نمی سه‌وزو حه‌وتی وشك [ لَعَلِّي أَرْجِعُ إِلَى النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ (٤٦) ] به‌ڵكو بگه‌ڕێمه‌وه‌ بۆ لای خه‌ڵكی (پاشا) به‌ڵكو لێكدانه‌وه‌ی خه‌ونه‌كه‌ بزانن.
