﴿ ۞ أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ ٱلْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَجَٰهَدَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوُۥنَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾

“Do you, perchance, regard the [mere] giving of water to pilgrims and the tending of the Inviolable House of Worship as being equal to [the works of] one who believes in God and the Last Day and strives hard in God's cause? These [things] are not equal in the sight of God. And God does not grace with His guidance people who [deliberately] do wrong.”

آیت 19 اَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَایَۃَ الْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَۃَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ کَمَنْ اٰمَنَ باللّٰہِ وَالْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَجٰہَدَ فِیْ سَبِیْلِ اللّٰہِ ط مشرکین مکہ اس بات پر بہت نازاں ہیں کہ انہوں نے بیت اللہ کو آباد رکھا ہوا ہے اور وہ حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے جیسا کار خیر سر انجام دیتے ہیں ‘ تو کیا ان کے یہ امور ایمان باللہ ‘ ایمان بالآ خرت اور جہاد فی سبیل اللہ کے برابر ہوجائیں گے ؟
